InstaFriday :)
Well, this has been an exciting week! I am linking up my instagram photos with Jeannett for Instafriday- I love this weekly tradition!
.
We had a family beach day on Saturday with just the 4 of us. My little beach babe:

I got to have a craft, cupcake and wine night with my nieces (who recently turned 21). It was so fun! We made lemon raspberry cupcakes (SO delicious!) and braided headbands made out of my husband’s old T-shirts. Love you girls!
.
My name is Courtney and I have a paper buying problem. But, really, how cute are these? I cannot wait to make them into banners!
.
On Monday, we packed up and headed back down to San Diego. Friends of ours just moved and have their old townhouse for two more weeks. So we’ve been camping out in an empty house in an awesome neighborhood all week and are loving it! Our church is doing Vacation Bible School this week in the evenings, so we’ve been filling up our days with fun family time before we head to VBS.
.
We spent a few hours at one of our favorite beaches with some of our favorite friends. It was a PERFECT beach day! Clear, just the right temperature, not too crowded and the boys were great!
And that, right there, is why I love living in Southern California.
.
The big boys found a huge whole and spent half the time there playing in it and digging to make it bigger:
.
Our friends moved just a couple houses down, so we went over after the kids were asleep for a game of Settlers. I forgot the receiver piece for our monitor, so we improvised and made a monitor out of a laptop facetiming my husband’s iPad. It got the job done :)
.
The next day, we headed to the community splash park with some dear friends. It is SO awesome! I’m starting to get why people pay the crazy HOA to live in 4S Ranch.

Isaiah with his future wife, Abby:

He’s really into hugging girls, can’t you tell? :)
.
One of my favorite summer traditions is movie nights at Stone Brewery. They have an awesome garden area and set up a projector and show movies on Wednesday nights. It’s free and so fun! In the afternoon, after we got our wristbands and saved our spots, we explored the gardens for a bit with the boys. Isaiah was hilarious- climbing rocks, talking to himself, examining every pond closely. He told me he was “adventuring for mysteries”. SO cute!
.
After VBS that night, I dropped the boys off with our favorite babysitter and we headed out to enjoy Talledega Nights in the open air.
.
Yesterday, it was Daveed’s day off, so we got to spend the whole day together as a family. We started it off right with an amazing breakfast at Snooze:
.
Then we headed to Sea World. It was such a great day- mellow and fun!
.
Hudson’s favorite part of the day was definitely meeting Elmo. He was so cute with him- excited and shy.
.
.
I am so thankful for this fun little staycation and the quality family and friend time we’ve been able to have. Lots of pool and park time and also looking for a new house, which is exciting- hopefully we will know where we are moving in the next couple of days :)
.
Have a lovely weekend!
