InstaFriday on Tuesday :)

We had multiple big events. My husband preached on Sunday. We moved. We left the next morning for Bre’s wedding in Placerville (Tahoe area). I am now catching my breath :)

It was a crazy crazy week and a half. I haven’t even opened my computer in over a week! (which, I’m sure, is some sort of a record in our house). We got home late last night to a new home and have now started to unpack. I have a million instagram photos from the wedding this past weekend, but I am going to save those for friday. For now, a quick link up with Jeannett, showing glimpses of our nutty last week:

I snuck away from packing to visit my sis-in-law at The Queen Bee Market. I went home with some cute wooden peg action figures (by Bubba’s basics) for Isaiah and a super cute bow-tie for Hudson (by Kelsey Bang).

Some hair goodies for me:

hair pins by Allora Handmade & I forget who made the fun headband- but I love it!

Isaiah decided to model how to play with the car mats made by my friends Holly & Mollie (Yellow Me Daisy):

The next night, after having a big garage sale in the morning, we had an banquet at our church. It was wonderful! I helped with the decor and it turned out so great! Remember those terrariums from a couple of weeks ago? The banquet was such a sweet night, looking at what God has done in our church and where we are going.

.

After my husband preached at church on Sunday (which was awesome!), we got into full packing mode. As we were loading the truck, I noticed this on the box of lamps:

Anchorman, anyone? My husband makes me laugh.

.

I crammed to get a ton of orders out before the move & our trip. This trio of pink flags went to Australia. I wish I was going with them!

.

Remember the birds nest in the light on our back porch? I was SO excited because a baby bird hatched before we moved!

Honestly, the picture grosses me out a bit. But it was so incredible to watch the whole process- from the mama bird building the next, to her sitting on it for weeks and then seeing this little guy. I loved it!

I was heartbroken when Isaiah found the little guy on our porch a few days later. He either tried to fly or fell out of the nest. I cried. And then had to explain to my 4 1/2 year old that, in real life, it doesn’t work out like the book, “Are you my mother?”. Rest in peace sweet little baby bird.

.

We then said goodbye to our house. We’ve lived there for 3 years and have loved it, despite it’s 1945 quirks. It was bittersweet- I am looking forward to what’s ahead (a dishwasher, garage!), but am sad to the leave the best biggest blessing about the house: I got to live across the street from one of my dearest friends. And one of my husband’s best friends lived in the other half of our duplex. We are not moving far, so I will still see them a lot, but nothing will be like being able to walk across the street just to say hi.

.

Good bye sweet 618:

.

Hudson discovered apples the other day. He loves to cruise around the house chomping away. It entertains him for a good half hour! :)

.

Once we ┬ámoved boxes and got the kids unpacked enough to stay with family for the weekend, we hit the road to Northern CA. The best road trip snacks ever from my friend’s shop, Sweet & Saucy Shop.

.

For some reason, Melody & Bre trusted me enough to let me drive up not only their sweetheart cake, but also this incredible, sculpted grooms cake. Not a hat people. All cake.

One of the most nerve-wracking drives of my life. They made it safe and sound though and were delicious! :)

.

The wedding was at Bre’s parents home on a lake in Placerville. Dreamy. This was taken during set up on Friday:

.

My friend Hannah of Modern Bouquet came up to do the floral gorgeousness. Here she is with a peak at the incredible bride’s bouquet:

.

Much more wedding details to come on Friday, but I’ll finish it off with a pic of me & my handsome hubby at the rehearsal dinner:

.

Now, back to my boxes.
