We were on the road all day yesterday, so I am linking up with Jeannett at LifeRearranged for InstaFriday today. Good excuse, right?

Vacation Bible School was last week, but I snapped this picture on Friday night after my last InstaFriday post. He LOVED it! Especially the sweet bandana he got to wear :) We have been hearing the same 5 songs he learned all week long. It’s so cute!

On Monday, we piled into the car and headed up to NorCal. My husband lead worship at a high school group’s lake camping trip. It started off well, with happy boys:

Then we hit LA traffic. Then this happened:

.

That is us sitting on the freeway on the grapevine. At lunchtime. Where we stayed for an hour. So fun.

.

Thankfully, I had PB&J supplies. Saved the sanity of everyone in our car.

.

Once we got there, 10 hours later, it was awesome. We spent the week with 40 high schoolers, sleeping on a house boat, playing with jetskis, boats and tubes and having some social-media-free downtown as a family.

Ignore Isaiah’s goofy face and Daveed’s sexy hat. Oh how I hate that hat :)

Hudson was not a fan of having to wear a lifejacket on the houseboat. He LOVED riding in the boats though. Whenever he started to get restless, we’d hop on a boat and just watch the teenagers wakeboard or tube and he’d be a happy camper.

Isaiah had an amazing time. He tubed, loved riding with me & daveed on the waverunners and especially loved playing with new friends. I think all the activity got to him and he would fall asleep almost every time we were on a boat :)

We had a water day today: water balloons and slip-n-slide on the front lawn. It was so fun! Crossing things off of that summer list- school starts in less than a month!

I’m tired just thinking back through my week! Next week is an exciting one: our move back to San Diego! We found a great house in Poway and are moving in on Wednesday- yay!!

.

In light of that, I am reopening the shop today through Tuesday, but then it will be closed again from Wednesday through the weekend. If you are planning on ordering soon, now’s the time :)
