What I Love Wednesdays: Our Favorite Children’s Bible

Being that it is Easter week, I thought it would be fitting to share our favorite kid’s bible for What I Love Wednesday.

The Jesus Storybook Bible is rad. Not only are the pictures amazing, but the story is incredible. Obviously, the stories held in the bible are already awesome, but the way that the author, Sally Lloyd-Jones, uses words to explain God’s plan for the world is absolutely beautiful. The tagline for the book is: “every story whispers his name”. Every tale from the bible is explained in light of Jesus.

My husband reads a story from it with my son almost every day. Isaiah sits on the edge of his seat, waiting to find out what is next. It worked out perfectly that we are right at the Easter story this week. This morning, they read about the last communion. Isaiah was so excited to see what was next that he asked to read two bible stories today. He got a glimpse of the page with the crosses drawn against a colorful yet sad sky and said, “I can’t wait to find out what is going on there”.

The way that the stories are told captivates us as well. If you are looking for a great bible for your kids or to give as a gift, I highly recommend checking it out. You can buy it on amazon.

Happy Wednesday!
